Have you noticed that one of the effects of yoga is a craving for more yoga? Once we get a taste of how calming, energizing, strengthening, balancing, and grounding yoga can be…we want more of it. Thankfully, yoga is something that can be practiced in a class or at home, allowing for a daily (or weekly) fix!
For most people, including yoga teachers, it is useful (and inspiring!) to take classes as well as have a home practice. Going to classes and being with a supportive community of like-minded people as well as receiving guided instruction and hands-on adjustments is super beneficial and important. Developing a home yoga practice enables you to practice at home when you can’t make it to class, to begin or end each day with intention, and to experience insights, personal transformation, and a deep sense of well-being.
You could say that group classes and a home practice go together like peanut butter and jelly. Alternating between the two helps with maintaining a regular yoga practice. And a regular yoga practice can help with dropping negative lifestyle habits and inspire healthier ones. It can cultivate or renew confidence, courage, and trust in yourself, in others, and in the world.
In the Discover Your Home Yoga Practice, Lara Darrow will be offering guidance on how to create and maintain a home practice. She will also offer tips on how to work through the blocks that often keep us from getting on our mat (like housework, making time, kids, unsure what to do, etc.). You will also develop your own 20 minute home yoga practice as well as learn how mindfulness, intention setting and rituals can support your practice.
How could a regular yoga practice affect your life? Join us on September 26th and learn how powerful a regular yoga practice can be.
