Five years ago, when I started Putney Moves, I envisioned a community of people gathering to stretch, strengthen, heal, and connect with each other in a safe, welcoming, and non-competitive environment; a knowledgeable, wise, passionate, and loving teaching team; and a thriving studio. I feel immense gratitude that this vision is now a reality for Putney Moves. It has been amazing and wonderful work, which I have fully enjoyed and delighted in.
During the last 5 years I have also become a mama and that new identity and focus has spurred the creation of a second business, CourageMama, which supports mothers with children of all ages in reconnecting with themselves. This work too has brought much joy and inspiration.
Both Putney Moves and CourageMama are works of love and come straight from my heart. So over the last year I have felt myself torn between these two worlds and trying to give equally to both. What I have come to understand, after many months of deliberation, is that I need to make a change. Putney Moves deserves more, so I have decided to look for a new owner and leader who can help realize it’s full potential. There are great things ahead for Putney Moves and I look forward to seeing it continue to thrive under new leadership.
I am looking for someone who cares deeply about Putney Moves and the community, who is a strong leader, a visionary, and who is passionate about yoga. My intention is to find someone who is a part of this community and who understands the energy and philosophy of the studio. With a vision and passion for yoga and community, the next owner need not have experience owning a studio, as we have built detailed systems and processes for the day-to-day operations. I look forward to supporting the new owner through the transition as well as share identified areas of future growth.
Rest assured, I remain fully committed to Putney Moves until the right leader has been found and a smooth transition has taken place.
If you or someone you know might be interested in this opportunity, please let me know. Who knows, 2020 could be the year you redefine your career and follow a new purpose and passion!
It has been a great honor to lead this studio and to be a part of your lives. Thank you so much for being here – it means the world to me.
I bow to you.
